[Mondo-devel] Mindi aborts signal SIGABRT

Faustino Nebrera

We have installed mondorescue on a Centos6 box. When we run mondarchive with this command:

nohup mondoarchive -O -V -G -i -s 4480m -l GRUB -d /home/sysimg -I / -E "/home/sysimg|/home/comunytek" -9 <&- >mondo.log 2>&1 &

we get a fatal error:

Mindi-BusyBox v1.7.3-r2689 (2011-02-10 09:47:20 CET) multi-call binary

INFO: SIGABRT signal received from OS

INFO: Abort - probably failed assertion. I'm sleeping for a few seconds so you can read the message.

We have tried all recipes we found in the buglist but nothing seems to work. By the way, same versión was installed on another Centos6 box and runs well.

See attached logs.

Thanks!

Faustino Nebrera

Hi,

I would recommend you to check Mindi-BusyBox version vs. mondo/mindi versions through this table:

FAQ#Q38 : Which versions of mindi and mondo are compatible ?

Re: [Mondo-devel] Mindi aborts signal SIGABRT

Faustino Nebrera-2

Thanks for the help. I checked it and seems correct. Versions reported by yum list:

Mondo 3.2.2

Mindi 3.0.2

Mindi-busybox 1.21.1

Exactly as appears in the FAQ.

Any other things to check?

Thanks!!

Re: [Mondo-devel] Mindi aborts signal SIGABRT

Gattegno, Victor (GSD CSC / GCC)-2

You’re welcome.

The issue seems to be related to Mindi-BusyBox v1.7.3.

Because I see in your mondoarchive.log that Mindi-BusyBox v1.7.3 is called/used:

                Line 252: Mindi-BusyBox v1.7.3-r2689 (2011-02-10 09:47:20 CET) multi-call binary

                Line 451: Mindi-BusyBox v1.7.3-r2689 (2011-02-10 09:47:20 CET) multi-call binary

Check again through:

# yum list installed | egrep 'mondo|mindi|perl-MondoRescue'

and uninstall Mindi-BusyBox v1.7.3 if it’s installed.

Re: [Mondo-devel] Mindi aborts signal SIGABRT

Faustino Nebrera

HI, Victor,

You were absolutely right. There was a pevious mindi-busybox v1.7.3 installed (I cannot figure out who did install it). I just did not look for it, as long as “yum info mindi-busybox” was telling me it was a v1.21.1. Now mondoarchive is running smoothly.

Thanks a lot for your help!

Regards,

Faustino
