Changes are :

MINDI CHANGES

- Fix #753 by forcing LV creation which on RHEL7 now asks a question in case
something was already there before. BACKPORT from 3.2 (Bruno Cornec)

MONDO CHANGES

- No change

Bruno, is there a reason you reverted the version numbers from 3.2.1-1
3.0.4.1? Which is the "newer" code?

I was going to build new Fedora 23 RPMs for all of the pieces, but the
F23 directory only has

        mindi-2.1.6.1-1
        pbmkbm-0.13.2-1
        perl-ProjectBuilder-0.13.2-1
        project-builder-0.13.2-1
        rpmbootstrap-0.13.2-1

It doesn't have mondo, mindi-busybox, afio or any of the other items.

I see the others in the F21 directory tree and I can grab the source
RPMs and port them from F21 to F23, but I'm not sure which of the
mondos I should use. Based on version numbers, 3.2.1-1 is later, but
the file dates indicate 3.0.4.1 is later. The same thing is true for
mindi--there are three versions in the F21 tree (2.1.6.1-1, 3.0.0-1 and
3.0.1-1). Which is the correct one to build for the latest MondoRescue?

I had planned to build F23 RPMs for both 32- and 64-bit environments for
my own use, but I'm willing to send them back to you once they're
built, along with a "mondorescue" meta RPM that will pull in the
necessary dependencies if they're not already installed.

3.0.4.1 is a maintenance version for 3.0.4. There still users who are
using that pretty old version now, and wanted at least one onnoying bug
to be fixed. So I did it. I don't have many paying customers, but the
one I have deserve that type of value add.

F23 didn't exist when I built previous versions and I didn't had my VM.
Now I have it, so as soon as 3.2.2 is declared stable (and I'm still
fighting to fix the remaining bugs reported here and found elsewhere)
then that will be the version for F23.

You can see a preview in the ftp://ftp.mondorescue.org/test/fedora.23.x86_64 directory.

3.2.1 is the latest of the 3.2 branch. 3.2.2 is availble under test.
3.0.4.1 is now the latest of the 3.0 branch.

Hope this clarifies,
Bruno.

Ah! Ok. So 3.2.x is the current branch, and you made some tweaks to an
older release to satisfy a client. Ok, that clears that up.

That's good to know. I was going to try to help out here by building it
for you, but I wasn't aware that it wasn't exactly "stable" yet.

By the way, mindi-busybox will give you empty "%files" errors during
rpmbuild unless you disable the debug stuff or change the compiler
flags to include the symbols and not strip the binary. Since mindi-
busybox should be as small as possible (IMHO), I'd just disable the
debug build by adding:

        %global debug_package %{nil}

to the "%build" section of the spec file. You might be able to get
around it more elegantly, but I'm not an rpmbuild guru by any means!

Yup, clears it up quite well. Let me know if I can help.
